Got goals? Run projects and share them!
Amazee is an internet platform that empowers individuals and
organizations to initiate and promote their ideas and plans in
projects, to find like-minded people and raise funds. Amazee is the
global action network!
Examples of successful projects on Amazee
are: Building an IT learning center in Sri Lanka, planning meetings of
internet entrepreneurs in Zurich or ensuring the complete supply with
running water in a small South African village.
Amazee is built
for globally-minded activists who want to use the web for collective
action. Thus their goals become projects on Amazee and these projects
come to life.
So, what exactly can you do on Amazee?
Each project on Amazee has its online publication medium: the project
magazine. Via an intuitive interface users can add a large variety of
so called widgets to these magazines to publish your content. Among many other things there are
gallery, blog and event planning widgets which can be combined into a
very attractive package.
The
collaboration of members in projects on Amazee is being empowered by
different state-of-the-art tools such as calendars, discussion boards,
polls, event planning modules etc.
Moreover, Amazee is
distinguished by its very responsible user community which is more
attracted by the collective pursuit of social challenges than by self
expression and non-binding chitchat.

What technology does Amazee use?
Amazee is based on the open source framework Drupal and is holistically
aimed at the use of free, open source technologies. From this follows
that not only single projects but the whole platform benefits from the
wisdom of the many.

Amazee Is Facebook-meets-BaseCamp For Activists
"Combine Facebook Causes pages with Basecamp and the ability
to take
PayPal and credit card donations, and what do you get? Zurich-based
startup Amazee
comes out of beta today with a "collaboration platform" which allows
people to organize, track, promote and fund projects of any size."

Amazee Makes Social Advocacy Accessible and Scalable
"Amazee appears to be well-developed as both an
internal manager and
news delivery mechanism. The dashboard alone is both nicely featured
and simply designed. Definitely not to be too sparse nor too chaotic.
Projects of course command the majority of real estate in Amazee. And
for followers of a particular project, blogs can be produced; for each
project or routinely for an extensive task."

Vision is not enough: Amazee's cause-based social network
"Switzerland's Amazee on
Wednesday is launching its site for building social projects. It's a
solid effort. The collaboration tools look good, and I like how it puts
the focus on the project, unlike most other social
nets that focus on the person."

Amazee launched: start a revolution or lose some pounds
"That’s what I love about this service. Dania and Gregory have
created a
world for Internet users to help each other making their dreams and
ideals come true. Not just with moral support, but also with some
euros. A good combination, if you’d ask me.
