As a freelance designer Rahel Vils is responsible for many good-looking sites around the Web – including Amazee. She learned the tricks of the trade while working for the Web Design company Namics as well as for Zurich-based Cassiber. In 2009 she decided to take matters into her own hand and founded Virtually Handmade, her own Web Design firm.
When she is not hustling pixels, she likes to cook. We've heard that she does incredible Sushi, she has even been teaching others how to roll their own!

Fabian Dieziger is co-founder of Supertext, the first copywriting agency on the Internet. He studied business administration at the HFW in Zurich. Experience as a businessman he gained as director and member of the board of an international transportation company. Today, he is responsible for marketing, sales and finance of Supertext Ltd.

Being adopted from Indonesia, Oona Grauers grew up in Basel where she studied English and History.
It was pure coincidence that she started working at Wuala, a Zurich based start-up developing an innovative online storage solution, where she is now doing Marketing and Communications. Whenever she isn't studying for her second Bachelor in Business, she can be found somewhere in the city shopping or curled up on the sofa reading.

Myke Näf is the founder and CEO of Doodle, the world's leading online scheduling service with more than 3 million monthly users.
Before founding Doodle, he worked as a lecturer at ETH Zurich, as the chief security officer for Zurich Airport, as a project manager for Eurospider, as a security engineer for Telekurs Payserv AG, as a consultant for a Helvetas-supported foreign aid project in Bhutan, and as a software engineer for Digital Equipment Corporation (US). He also co-authored three books on IT topics and is a board member of SwissEduc.

Mark Seall has been around the Internet for quite a while. After working for Green Options, he became co-founder and CEO of MapVivo, a Travel Social site. From there he quickly moved on to found his next business, Offer Me A Trip, which is, you probably guessed it, also about travelling. This will launch in early 2010 and from what we heard, it sounds pretty promising.
In his spare time he likes to ski and, being a very sociable guy, meet up with other people from the Swiss Web scene.
The contest is over, the jury has spoken! Thank you very much, Rahel, Oona, Myke, Mark and Fabian for your verdict. Here they are, without further ado: The winners!

--Edit:--
HolK of course was right. I added the links.
That was and is amazee-ing! ;-)
It would be great if you could put the links to the different projects behind their names. The generated traffic is already a benefit for all of us. Thank you!
Wow, our Book Club is on the list of finalists. This is very nice!
@the_jury: Please don't even think about letting us win! Because the work amazee could do for us, they have already done!
This past Tuesday our "Amazee works for you" contest entered into its crucial phase – the last week. On February 23rd we will finally know which ten projects on Amazee have been the most active over the course of the last two months. Next week the five members of the contest jury will have to decide which three out of the ten projects shall be the overall winners.
We have initiated this contest to honor the activeness of our users. All of us here at Amazee are constantly inspired by the dedication of the project activists on our platform. To them we would like to pay tribute. Furthermore, we want to support you in working towards the goals that are so dear to you.
Therefore, three of these ten most active projects will, after the jury has spoken, receive free upgrades for one year and the winning project will moreover win three days worth of work from the Amazee team. You see, we are doing what we can so you can reach your goals!

We have just under two weeks to go until the "Amazee works for you" contest ends. And sure enough it is getting exciting towards the end now. The Top Ten, the candidates which actually will have a chance at winning, are slowly forming. The most active projects can almost be certain to enter the second round, but the lower parts of the Top Ten are nowhere near safety yet!
There is one project, the Bassötthaus, which is newly in second place. This one is all about redefining design. At number One there's still the sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite project. It seems like it might indeed be an easy win in the first round for these activists. But even if you made it to the Top Ten with your project, you will still have to enter round two on February 23rd.
From this day on, the five contest jury members will take their time to elect the three winners. The general prizes for these three victors are upgrades for their projects and, for the overall winner, three days worth of work from the Amazee team. If you'd still like to enter the race, you better hurry up!

The end of our little "Amazee works for you" contest is drawing near: only three weeks to go! This means that we will give you updates on the contest for another three weeks. Because we assume that there will be quite some movement to come. Again and again new projects are started which then attempt to reach the Activity Top Ten.
In the "Amazee works for you" contest we are giving away three days worth of work from the Amazee team to the winning project. This means we could be working towards your goal! Therefore we have been counting all activity in all projects from the end of December on.
Out of the ten most active projects a jury will select a winner during the last week of February. You can find the current Top Ten in the accompanying project. There, the jury is also introduced, all of them being personalities from the Zurich Startup scene. We appreciate your involvement and wish you all the luck! Anything is still possible!

Another week has gone by in the "Amazee works for you" contest. Currently there seems to be a lot of movement: It is becoming obvious that many users are ambitious when it comes to securing the three days worth of work from the Amazee team for the winning project. But, every project is still in the runnings, the Top Ten are far from decided upon.
Although the project in the lead, Das sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite, has taken off quite well the other spots in the Top Ten are still quite closely knit. But there are new projects which have settled in the top spots: the projects EPCAM and Flughafen.ch - Airport.at are new in third and fourth place right behind second-placed Abolish the Death Penalty.
The ten most active projects on Amazee will be presented to a jury after the competition has ended on February 23rd. This jury will then determine the three most promising projects, two of them will win free upgrades for Amazee for one year, and the highest-ranked project receives three days worth of work. The Amazee team will then work for the goal of the winning project!
Yet another week has gone by, bringing us closer to the end of the Amazee works for you contest. And, at last, we have begun to see some more activity within the contest over the last seven days. The Top Ten projects in the activity count are slowly starting to separate from the rest of the flock. If you still want to be in the runnings, you better start now!
The project Das sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite, which has been in the lead from the start, is still installed as Number One, now just ahead of Scott Cobb's Abolish the Death Penalty and Netzwerk für Ökonomie und Politik. You can find the complete Top Ten in the accompanying contest project. The contest itself will run for another four weeks.
After the time is up, the ten projects with the highest activity will be presented to a jury, which will select a winner and two second places. So, the most active project doesn't automatically win, this contest is about being agile and having a "good" project. What's in this project? You can win the Amazee team: We will work for the winner's goals!
Our barely still new contest "Amazee works for you" enters its fourth week, which means it is almost halfway over already! The projects at the top are defending their spots with ease but the Top Ten are far from decided upon. The ten most active projects on Amazee have a chance of winning free upgrades and three days worth of work by the Amazee team!
Over the course of the last one and a half years we have drawn a lot of inspiration from the activity of you, the user, and we would like to acknowledge that! Therefore this contest. At the moment, the projects Das sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite is in the lead, just ahead of Netzwerk für Ökonomie und Politik and Qrafts which shares third place with Abolish the Death Penalty.
But, as stated above, the Top Ten are what counts, and anything still goes here. The ten projects will be presented to a jury on the 23rd of February, the day the contest ends. The project best rated by the jury will then win three days worth of work from our team, for its goals. May the best one win!
Every Thursday, until the end of February, we will update you on the Amazee works for you contest. There has not been much movement over the last seven days, the Top Three are all holding on to their top spots. But the competition is heating up: At least four other projects are close on their heels, ready to take the lead.
Of course we are still at the beginning of the contest, with which the most active projects on Amazee shall be honored, but the same goes here as with every other sport: Don't miss the start! The Top Three are, in slightly altered order as compared to last week: Das sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite, Netzwerk für Ökonomie und Politik and Qrafts.
Until the end of February we will be monitoring the activity of all projects on Amazee. The ten best project in this discipline will then be presented to a jury, which will pick three winning projects. These three all receive free Amazee upgrades for half a year. The best-rated project will win three days worth of work by the Amazee team. We are working towards your goals!
As you might have noticed by now, we have a new contest running on Amazee, called the "Amazee works for you" contest. We have seen the dedication to your projects and we want to honor it by awarding the most active projects on this platform. The contest has been running for a week now and this is a first intermediate result overview.
Over the Holidays, as you can imagine, activity has been a bit lower than usual, so we expect the action to pick up during January. It is interesting to note that the current top three projects are all in German: Das sozial-ökologische Restaurant die Zweite, Qrafts and Netzwerk für Ökonomie und Politik.
However, the other projects are not far away. There will be a lot of change until the contest ends on February, 23rd. All contestants can win three days worth of work from the Amazee team, tailored to the winning project's needs. For all details and updates, please check the Amazee works for you project!
