    The Shoe Aid Project
    Who we are:
The Shoe Aid Project is a shoe donation program where shoes are collected in well developed countries, and freely distributed to children and families in Cameroon and neighbouring countries.
This is a project initiated by Hope Foundation Cameroon which is a non profitable and non governmental organisation which has the objective to promote development and alleviate poverty in rural area! Hope Foundation has for the past years been implementing development projects and programs in Cameroon which has gone a long run to improve living standards in many communities!

    Our Aim and Goal:
Our goal and aim with this project is to meet the fundamental needs of thousands of children and families in Cameroon by sending them thousands of pairs of shoes which they shall us to enhance their daily activities.

    Our Objective:
We seek to improve living standards and to make life easier by donating shoes to people in Africa who cannot afford a pair of shoe. Without shoes many people in many deprived areas in Cameroon and many African countries are unable to meet up with their daily activities and tasks, which automatically slow down development. Children cannot go to school, parents find it difficult to go to work or farms, youths cannot freely take part in various sporting activities, mothers and women cannot go to the church or markets. The lack of shoes within many families is always a problematic issue whereby children playing without shoes usually get themselves injured either by a bottle, nail, some wild plants or what ever, usually resulting to drastic bacterial and fungi infections. Parents are always encountered with extreme temperatures during the year which makes it difficult for them to take up their daily activities. Providing with new portable shoes goes to enhance their self esteem.
You can immediately take action today by looking in your closet for an old pair of clean shoes which you no longer need and donate to this project. This shoe will go to bring a smile to its new owner.

    DONATE & HELP US:
There are many ways you can help and contribute to make this project a success:
    .
    • Donate shoes: Donating clean gently worn shoes to this project will go help to help someone in Cameroon without a pair of shoes. We welcome clean shoes of all sizes and types (sneakers, boots, slippers, dress and casual shoes and more). Clean and gently worn shoes are highly welcomed! You can donate them shoe cartons or in plastic papers. Just take a look in your closet or warehouse and donate one or more pairs of shoes to help a number of people without shoes in Cameroon and other African countries. We welcome donations from individuals and businesses.

    • Donate your time: Dedicating your time and energy as a volunteer shall greatly help in promoting our project. We need volunteers who can help us in collecting shoes, cleaning and packaging them. Volunteers can dedicate some hours on weekends whereby they shall be working on various collecting points in various towns and cities.

    • Donate money: Donate money to make our project succeed. We need financial assistance to pay for costs related to renting the warehouse, fuel cost for our van, and shipment cost to Africa. Donations are tax deductible and you can either donate online through paypal or by sending us a check to our address:

Children join in and take part in the project! Our team is very impressed by the dimension the project is taking in Germany and we expect this success to be extended all over Europe. We wish to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the children, parents and staff at Saint Lugerus Kindergarten in Bochum for their support in the project. For just a few weeks, the nursery school ran a shoe drive where shoes of various sizes were collected. Even in a limited time, the school collected enough shoes to make a real impact. These shoes will now make their way to Cameroon to assist various groups of people.
We hope other schools and groups are inspired by this success story and take up the challenge to organize their very own shoe drive as well.
Once again, many thanks to Saint Lugerus Kindergarten. Fantastic job!

The response to our project in Austria has been nothing short of stunning!
We are pleasantly surprised by how the students and staff in a number of schools in Styria, where our project is currently being promoted, are keen and interested in contributing directly by donating shoes that they no longer wear. The teachers and administration have been so eager to make the Shoe Aid Project a success where they organized shoe donation drives within their individual schools.
Hundreds of pairs of shoes of all kinds were collected within a short period of time and this in turn sparked the goodwill of other students who also wanted to donate their unused shoes.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to these schools for their enthusiasm and interest in helping and improving the lives of various groups of people in Cameroon by donating their unwanted pairs of shoes.
We would like to call on other schools, colleges, institutes, and universities who would like to inspire their students to be global citizens in addressing development issues to organize a shoe collection drive on their campuses!
Once again, we would like to thank the following schools for their wonderful support:
Borg Dreierschutzengasse, HAK Deutschlandsberg, HAK Monsberger und BG & BRG Seebacher, Borg, BG& BRG Leibnitz: HAK, Borg Deutschlandsberg
Please contact us directly by phone or email of you have any questions or need advice about how to organize a shoe drive in your school or area
